Missouri State staff are the backbone of the university. Each summer, we celebrate their efforts through Staff Appreciation Week.
Mark your calendars now as we continue our celebration era and take part in a host of events from June 16 through 20.
What to expect
Monday
Enter your Bear Wear era as we gather at 3:30 p.m. for the annual staff photo at the new Roy Blunt Hall.
Then join us from 4-7 p.m. for MSU Family Night in Mother’s Backyard. There will be free food and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as special drink deals. Bring your BearPass and a lawn chair for you and your loved ones.
Tuesday
Share the love and appreciation for other staff on social media with the hashtag #MSUStaffShoutout. Watch for special posts from Human Resources throughout the day.
Wednesday
Enjoy free Pineapple Whip on the West Mall from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Thursday
The university is closed for Juneteenth. Enjoy the day off and join the city’s third annual celebration.
Friday
Cool off at the biggest staff party of the summer with treats from Chartwells from 1-3 p.m. in the Glass Hall atrium.
Last, but not least, start your weekend early with early release courtesy of President Richard B. Williams at 3 p.m.
Enjoy Staff Appreciation Week, Bears!
