Heading over to Wesley Rankin this morning, I was SO excited because I knew it was going to be a day full of fun if it was anything like the previous day. We got to the community center, and all of the little kids’ faces lit up because they were surprised we were back to visit for another day. They came running and hugging each and every volunteer. Immediately, I found my friend from the previous day, Sofía. She led me to the closet full of bored games, and surely enough, she picked out the game “sorry” that we competitively played the day before. Later on, we went to the gym and played dodgeball and four square, which was completely crazy. We even managed to get out the sidewalk chalk for a little bit on the rainy day. During the time outside, Sofía came up to me with a name tag that she had made for me, it said “Jeffee”, which was a good effort on her part to spell my name, “Jesse”. We all got a good laugh out of it though.
