Bear Breaks Asheville

March 13, 2018 by cgg1016

Today, we started off our morning by helping the organization, River Link clean up invasive plant species along a stream in a park in order to keep the plant vegetation healthy. We also worked with the organization ABCCM, who focuses on helping homeless veterans. This was a neat organization to work with because they focus on finding veterans housing. River Link & ABCCM

March 13, 2018 by krh321

Today on Bear Breaks Asheville, we went to Malvern Hills Park to assist River Link in removing invasive species from the trail and creek area. November 5, 2017 by Chelsea Jennings

Last year when I decided to apply for the Bear Breaks Immersion Trips, I did not know what to expect. I have heard of people having positive experiences with their Bear Breaks Trips and decided why not! My trip leader tried to explain some of things we would witness on our trip and new outlooks on these issues, but I truly did not understand it until I was immersed in the … [Read more...] about “From the outside looking in, it’s hard to understand.
