Thanksgiving break is fast approaching, and your help is needed to conserve energy and to ensure campus is safe from electrical hazards over break.

These simple steps are important for energy savings:

• Turn off all computers, monitors, speakers and printers.
• Unplug all chargers, fans, coffee pots, candle warmers, radios and other items that are plugged into an outlet and can be unplugged without damage.
• Clean out small refrigerators and unplug them.
• Close and secure exterior windows and doors.
• Open blinds so the sun can contribute to heat the room/office.
• Turn off lights.
• If you have a thermostat available, please set it to 60 degrees.
