Thank you for taking measures to conserve energy over the winter break!
The University saved $70,994 in electricity and steam compared to the same number of days during the months of November and December (Baseline 11/29/14 – 12/14/14).
This is a reduction of:
- 30 percent in electricity (951,885 kWh) which is equivalent to energizing over 78 homes per year!
- 11 percent in steam (522,350 lbm)
An average house in the U.S. can consume 12,164 kwh
(For a typical house of 1,500 to 2,000 sq.ft. according to EIA Energy Information Administration, Residential Energy Consumption Survey)
Your efforts made a difference. Congratulations!
