The National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition at the University of South Carolina and Cengage recently announced the top 10 recipients of the 2021 Outstanding First Year Student Advocate Award.
Tracey Glaessgen, associate director of Missouri State’s Center for Academic Success and Transition, was among the recipients recognized at the 40th Annual Conference on The First-Year Experience. The event was held virtually Feb. 15 – 19.
About the award
The award, now in its 30th year, honors college faculty, administrators, staff and students for their outstanding work on behalf of first-year students.
It serves to recognize the impact such efforts have on students and the culture of institutions.
“The rich tradition of this award includes more than three decades of recognizing the outstanding work that takes place, making immeasurable impact on the lives of first-year students,” Jennifer Keup, director of the National Resource Center, said. “It’s an absolute honor to add ten more names to the esteemed ones who have previously received this honor.”
