Renowned children’s author David L. Harrison will speak at two back-to-back events in Springfield promoting his new book, “This Life: An Autobiography.” The memoir was published in December 2022 by the Ozarks Studies Institute, an initiative of the MSU Libraries. It’s official. The Smithsonian Institution announced dates for the 2023 Smithsonian Folklife Festival. The annual event, which draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., will be held June 28 through July 9.
