JOB SUMMARY:
The Marketing Intern serves as a member of the Wagner Marketing Team and is responsible for providing market research to the team. This is a paid non-exempt hourly position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage small to medium complexity project assignments to project scope, budget and time lines in coordination with the marketing team
- Perform market research for the Lawn & Outdoor Equipment Industry:
List of companies and decision makers
Domestic manufacture or origin of import
Location of distribution centers – company run or outsourced
List of publications and prioritization
Relevant white papers and associated research
Determine what is important to this targeted audience
Develop initial talking points, direct mail, email blasts and other marketing initiatives
- Assist in archiving prospect updates utilizing CRM reporting through SalesForce
- Assist with social media planning
- Adhere to company policies governing the handling of confidential information
- Adhere to company assigned work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
- Provide periodic progress reports to the marketing team
QUALIFICATIONS

Education – Must be in pursuit of a degree in marketing, business administration or related field. Must be maintaining a 3.0 GPA or better.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
- Ability to effectively apply knowledge acquired in the academic setting to the company setting
- Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week for a period of 12 weeks
- Intermediate to advanced technical knowledge of MS Office Applications, business intelligence and database software
- Strong willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Excellent time management and project management skills
- Works cooperatively and is receptive to constructive feedback from others
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with mid to senior levels of management
- Ability to effectively access, read, analyze and interpret marketing information and data
- Ability to effectively collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
