August 23, 2016 by Elizabeth Armbrecht

big brothers big sisters logoJob Description
As the Social Media Intern, you will work closely with the Community Relations Coordinator to create, schedule, and manage content for all of our social media accounts (Facebook (pages and events), Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram). You’ll have goals and objectives, and we’ll have a lot of existing strategies that we’ll want you to continue, but we’ll often encourage you to think and work independently.

Requirements

  • Enjoy working for warm-and-fuzzy feelings only (not a paying internship)
  • Be eager to take initiative
  • Love learning new things
  • Know how to use some or most of the social media we use

Even Better

  • Know how to use Adobe CS
  • Are basically a wizard on the Internet
  • Interested in creating—not being a critic

Schedule/Hours

  • 5 – 10 hours of work a week
  • A make-your-own schedule
  • Negotiable start date

Email your cover letter and resume to Rob at rblevins@bigbro.com

We review resumes as soon as they come in, but we might not make a decision until as late as September 1st.
