Job Description: The Ozark Chamber of Commerce is seeking a part-time intern for the Fall 2019 semester.
The Ozark Chamber of Commerce is a dynamic organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the Ozark business community. Our mission is to empower Ozark through economic development, community enrichment, and individual connection. This internship is ideal for a motivated, imaginative, and inquisitive individual who is ready to learn about Ozark, ask thoughtful questions, and contribute meaningfully to the economic well-being of the community.

Responsibilities
● Coordinate with and directly support Chamber of Commerce staff
● Take responsibility for executing specific project objectives
● Communicate general information about the Chamber and the Ozark community to the public
● Provide front desk support to staff as needed
● Provide excellent customer service to the general public and Chamber members
● Assist Chamber guests with any questions or needs they may have
● Support Chamber staff before, during, and after events
● Prepare a 5-10 minute presentation on internship experience at end of internship
● Assist with the onboarding of a second semester intern at conclusion of internship

Requirements
● Has declared a major in: marketing, project management, business, economic development, non-profit
management, communications, or a related field
● Has completed at least 4 college semesters
● Has a minimum 3.0 GPA
● Demonstrates a basic understanding of business etiquette and office technology
● Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills
● Able to learn quickly and self-direct
● Has reliable transportation and access to a vehicle during internship hours
● Can safely lift up to 50 pounds
● Can pass a background check
● Available 12-20 hours per week with occasional nights and weekends required (schedule is flexible)

Compensation
● Standard minimum wage
● Mileage reimbursement for travel during internship hours
