Job Title & Job Description / Primary Responsibilities: Summer Intern
- We are seeking an individual to provide assistance and support in all aspects in the preparation and implementation of our annual conference, “Get Plugged In…Downtown” held this year, July 29th-31st, in Kansas, MO.
- Candidates should also possess the following skills:
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, Excel)
- Proficiency in office equipment
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to work both independently and in a team environment
Required Qualifications: Successful candidates for this internship will have completed Sophomore-level status or higher toward a BS degree in one of the following:

- Tourism & Travel
- Marketing
- Public Relations
- Human Resources
- Planning
- Historic Preservation
- History
- Social Science
- Environmental Design
- Architecture
- Entrepreneurship
- Work 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, daytime and some evening hours
- Provide own transportation and lodging
- Accompany us to Kansas City, MO July 24th-August 1st for pre-conference work and the 2020 annual conference (all expenses paid by MMSC)

Start Date / End Date: May 2020 – August 2020
Pay / Compensation: Receive a bi-weekly stipend of $300
