Quynh Vu, a supply chain major and student president of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Association (LSCMA), recently earned a Bronze Award for Best Sustainable Solution in the 2025 Global Sustainability Supply Chain Student Competition (GS3) held on January 5, 2026. Her team, TriLogix, included Zhenhuan Liao from Xiamen University (China) and Tong Le Van Khanh from Foreign Trade University (Vietnam). Together, they placed second in the Paired Teams category—a remarkable achievement on a global stage.
The competition is recognized by the United Nations as a voluntary commitment under the UN Decade of Sustainable Transport (2026–2035). This year, it drew 113 teams from 24 countries. The competition consisted of three rounds: a written submission, a presentation, and a final presentation. Participants tackled real-world supply chain challenges aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, Quynh and her team focused on the pressing issue of agricultural waste in Ethiopia.
Guided by Experience
“Dr. Yun motivated me to join the competition and reassured me despite my initial hesitation. Moreover, as our mentor, Dr. Yun offered valuable guidance and feedback.”
Dr. Gawon Yun, assistant professor in the Marketing Department and the team’s mentor, provided guidance on case analysis. She also advised on addressing feedback that might challenge the team’s proposed solutions. In addition, she speaks highly of Quynh’s motivation, enthusiasm for academic excellence, and leadership.
“When I shared the competition opportunity, she was eager to participate. Even without prior experience, her readiness to challenge herself speaks to her strengths as a student and her remarkable potential.”

Furthermore, her leadership, initiative, and commitment to excellence show her determination, proactive mindset, and ability to inspire others.
The Marketing Department congratulates Quynh Vu on this remarkable achievement and wishes her all the best in her future endeavors. Congratulations, Quynh!
