The Missouri State University Marketing faculty service milestones were celebrated at Missouri State University during the All-Faculty Recognition Reception on May 4. The Missouri State University Marketing Department proudly recognizes faculty members whose dedication, teaching, research, and service continue to make a lasting impact on students, colleagues, and the broader university community.

These MSU Marketing faculty service achievements highlight the department’s commitment to excellence in higher education and student success.

Dr. Jenifer Skiba – 10 Years of Service

The Marketing Department proudly congratulates Dr. Jenifer Skiba on celebrating 10 years of service to Missouri State University.

As an Associate Professor of Marketing, Dr. Skiba has demonstrated a strong commitment to student success, academic excellence, and professional development. She teaches Principles of Marketing, Operations Management, and Advanced Marketing, helping students build the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today’s business environment.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Dr. Skiba serves as Faculty Advisor for the MSU American Marketing Association Student Chapter, supporting student engagement and professional growth. Her research focuses on marketing strategy, business-to-business marketing, sales management, and ethical marketing practices, with publications appearing in leading academic journals.

Through her dedication to teaching, mentorship, and scholarship, Dr. Skiba continues to make a meaningful contribution to the Marketing Department and the broader university community.

 

Dr. Jackson (LinDa) Li – 10 Years of Service

The department also celebrates Dr. Jackson (LinDa) Li on reaching his 10-year service milestone at Missouri State University.

As an Associate Professor specializing in Operations Management, Dr. Li brings expertise in operations, inventory optimization, and decision sciences to the classroom. Since joining Missouri State, he has helped students develop analytical and problem-solving skills that prepare them for careers in today’s data-driven business world.

Dr. Li earned his PhD in Operations Management from The University of Alabama and has published research in respected journals, including the International Journal of Production Economics and Decision Sciences. His work has contributed to advancements in inventory management, quality control, and operational efficiency.

Over the past decade, Dr. Li’s commitment to academic excellence and student development has strengthened the department and enriched the educational experience of countless students.

 

Dr. Christina Simmers – 20 Years of Service

This year marks an impressive 20 years of service for Dr. Christina Simmers, Professor of Marketing.

Throughout her career at Missouri State University, Dr. Simmers has demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, and service. She has taught courses including Marketing Management, Consumer Market Behavior, and Principles of Marketing, helping students understand consumer decision-making and modern marketing strategies.

Her research interests include consumer behavior, influencer marketing, persuasion, and endorsements. Her scholarly work has earned multiple research awards and has contributed valuable insights to the field of marketing. Beyond the classroom, Dr. Simmers has also played an important role in student engagement, previously serving as advisor to the Marketing Club during a period of notable student success and recognition.

Her two decades of dedication have left a lasting impact on students, colleagues, and the University community.

 

Dr. Chuck Hermans – 25 Years of Service

The Marketing Department proudly recognizes Dr. Chuck Hermans for an extraordinary 25 years of service to Missouri State University.

As a Professor of Marketing, Dr. Hermans has built a distinguished career focused on international marketing, global supply chain management, consumer behavior, and e-commerce. His extensive professional experience and global perspective have enriched both his teaching and research.

Dr. Hermans teaches International Marketing and International Logistics and Global Supply Chain Management, preparing students to navigate the complexities of an increasingly interconnected world. His scholarship and commitment to innovation in teaching have earned numerous awards, including the College of Business Excellence in Teaching Award and multiple research and innovation recognitions.

For a quarter century, Dr. Hermans has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to student success, academic excellence, and the advancement of the marketing profession.
