As we near the end of the semester, the Department of Media, Journalism, and Film would like to take a moment to recognize some outstanding student accomplishments. Two students won at the 2012 Associate Collegiate Press Awards. Steph Anderson, senior print and internet journalism major, won third place in the Sports Picture category, as well as an honorable mention in the Environmental Portrait category. Mat Wilken won an honorable mention in the Brochure/Rate Card category.

Our student produced web series, Epilogue, has been nominated for two awards in the International Academy of Web Television Awards. Epilogue received nominations in the Original Music and Best Makeup FX categories. Epilogue will compete with 472 other web series on Jan. 8 at the 2013 International CES in Las Vegas.

Finally, Erin Raines, a digital film production major, will be studying abroad at Oxford Brookes University during the spring semester. Raines is the second student to participate in the department’s first year program exchange with Oxford Brookes University.
