Week 4: Brett studies away in Scotland

January 4, 2016 by

This summer Broadcast Journalism student Brett Kaprelian studied away in Scotland. He blogged about his trip so he could share his experiences with us.

Scotland – Week Four

This is the last week that I am over here. It is sad to leave, but my wallet is thanking me. The exchange rate is £1 for 1.6 U.S. dollars, so a £10 meal would cost $16 — gets a little pricey after a while.

MSU-MJF-StudyAway-Scotland-Boat-Friends-BlogI went to a goodbye dance the school hosted for us. We did highland dancing. It consisted of a lot of line dances and spinning your partner around in circles. I got very dizzy sometimes. I also won best male dancer.

I will definitely miss Scotland and all my adventures in this amazing country. It was such a great experience, and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I wish everybody could visit a foreign country like I did. I met a lot of new friends, and I can appreciate things from a different perspective now.
