This summer Broadcast Journalism student Brett Kaprelian studied away in Scotland. He blogged about his trip so he could share his experiences with us.
Scotland – Week Four
This is the last week that I am over here. It is sad to leave, but my wallet is thanking me. The exchange rate is £1 for 1.6 U.S. dollars, so a £10 meal would cost $16 — gets a little pricey after a while.
I went to a goodbye dance the school hosted for us. We did highland dancing. It consisted of a lot of line dances and spinning your partner around in circles. I got very dizzy sometimes. I also won best male dancer.
I will definitely miss Scotland and all my adventures in this amazing country. It was such a great experience, and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I wish everybody could visit a foreign country like I did. I met a lot of new friends, and I can appreciate things from a different perspective now.
