Missouri State University awarded its second Public Affairs Professorship Award, on April 23, to Dr. Kenneth Rutherford, professor of political science. Missouri State Provost Belinda McCarthy presented the award during Rutherford’s international relations class.
“Ken Rutherford is an internationally-recognized scholar and human rights activist. We are fortunate to have him on our campus and in our classrooms, because he is also a wonderful educator and mentor to his students,” said McCarthy. “He has brought numerous student groups to the far corners of the world, sharing his understanding and appreciation of the ‘global village.’ Ken brings his enthusiasm, energy and vision to all that he undertakes, promoting the public affairs mission of ethical leadership, community engagement and cultural competence.” > Learn More
