Tammy exemplifies the meaning of community engagement. Since moving to Springfield, Tammy has been dedicated to volunteer work in numerous community organizations. She has been involved with membership efforts and events with the Springfield Jaycees. Since 2004, Tammy has served on a different committee every year for the Junior League of Springfield. Tammy was a Victim Advocate for survivors of sexual abuse with the Victim Center from 2003-2006. She served as Chair of the Eating Disorders Coalition of the Ozarks from 2007-2008 and has been a member of the Coalition since 2004. Currently, she works as a Wish Granter with the Make-A-Wish-Foundation by helping families with their paperwork. Tammy was the Advisor to the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, Drury Chapter from 2004-2007 and has been the Xi Omicron Iota Advisor to the Missouri State Chapter since 2004. In addition to these accomplishments, she has been involved in many one-time volunteer activities including special events with groups such as the AIDS Project of the Ozarks Price Cutter Golf Tournament, Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Rotaract, and Young Survivors Coalition of Kansas City. Tammy has been employed at the Missouri State University Counseling and Testing Center since August 2003.
