Regional Outreach Administrator, Missouri State Outreach
Gib is a community activist and visionary leader who for 35 years has exemplified excellence in community service and living the public affairs mission. A member of Lebanon’s City Council, Education Foundation and Rotary Club, Gib actively serves the members of his community through multiple avenues. However, there is a common thread weaved throughout all his service — leading ethically and building effective collaborations to sustain lasting positive outcomes. He has championed Lebanon’s solar farm, the Legacy Agricultural Arena, the Route 66 Museum, the KOATS for KIDS program and has become the City’s only Certified Municipal Officer. You will also find him ringing a bell for the Salvation Army, honoring the memory of veterans through Wreaths Across America and participating in church outreach mission trips.
Gilbert is also a founding member of the MSU Alumni Association Lebanon Chapter and began several local fundraisers to support MSU scholarships for students of Lebanon High School. Public Affairs is honored to spotlight Gilbert Adkins for his dedication to service and being a model CitizenBear!
