Non-Credit Program Coordinator, Community Outreach
Cody’s excellent record of campus and community involvement has earned him his place as this month’s Public Affairs Staff Spotlight. As coordinator of Non-Credit Programming, Cody oversees a wide variety of events, classes, conferences, and programs that equip community members with the skills they need to make a difference for themselves. Cody is especially involved in programs such as the Greater Ozarks Leadership Development (GOLD), GO LEAD, the Public Safety Training Center, and the annual Stop the Violence conference against interpersonal violence.
Cody also enjoys being a board member of the Missouri Investigator Association board, through which Missouri law enforcement and investigators are trained annually to learn more about current challenges and how to effectively face them.
Overall, Cody has worked diligently with campus and the community since becoming a student worker in 2008, and has used the skills he has learned to help educate those around him on crucial topics to help them rise to the problems of the day and succeed as individuals and active community members. He gets satisfaction in knowing that he is playing a part in the personal and professional growth of others that are willing to learn.
