World Champion to speak on MSU campus

An evening of life-story, performance and inspiration to help us all cultivate strength and resilience

Resilience & Success through Tae Kwon-Do: Mind, Body & Spirit

  • Tae Kwon-Do World Forms Champion (Olympic Gold Medalist) & Professional Athlete
  • Head Instructor, Director of Education, Vice President of Operations, Grand Master Duc Dang School of Martial Arts and Education
  • California’s 2025 Woman of the Year Award, 70th Assembly District

Dr. Kim-Anh Nguyen Dang is a World Champion, 7th Degree Black Belt Tae Kwon-Do Master (35 years of continuous training) and Director of Education at Grand Master Duc Dang School of Martial Arts and Education located in California.  This is one of the largest and most respected schools of martial arts in the country for its commitment to the philosophical underpinnings of Tae Kwon-Do not only as a sports practice, but a lifestyle.

A former professional tennis player, as an athlete Dr. Dang has successfully integrated the key principles of this martial arts as the critical success factors to paving the way to resilient life within its multiple and vibrant dimensions. Referring to own life experiences as a student, professional athlete, instructor, trainer, master, business director, and organizational leader, Dr. Kim explicates the crucial role of Tae Kwon-Do in all these roles and achievements in both her own and her students’ lives.

The principles of Martial Arts can be applied in all aspects of life.  Please join us for an evening of life-story, performance and inspiration to help us all cultivate strength and resilience!  Dr. Kim-Anh Nguyen Dang and her 10 year old nephew will be demonstrating Tae Kwon-Do as part of the presentation.
