FAST FACTS:
- You must fill out the FAFSA every year in order to be considered for federal aid. Once is not enough to carry you through each year of school.
- Even if you and your parents have not completed your income taxes, you can and should still fill out the FAFSA by April 1. You can go into your online application later and update the numbers once the taxes are done. (IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE INFORMATION YOU SUBMIT IS CORRECT) But having the initial submission in by April 1 is crucial to getting priority state aid consideration.
- You can fill out the FAFSA after April 1, but you will not get priority aid consideration from Financial Aid.
