Employees: Get vaccinated against COVID-19, win $1,000

Missouri State University employees have 20 chances to win a $1,000 cash prize in the months ahead, just for getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

As part of the university’s Employee Vaccination Incentive Program, MSU will announce the names of 5 winning employees on Aug. 18 during the university’s Town Hall meeting. Subsequent drawings of 3 names will be held weekly on Friday afternoons beginning Aug. 27 with the final drawing on Sept. 24.

How to enter the drawings

All full- and part-time employees who get fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are eligible to win. Employees who get fully vaccinated at Magers Health and Wellness Center are automatically entered into the drawing. Employees who get fully vaccinated somewhere other than Magers must submit a copy of their COVID-19 vaccination card or other written documentation to the clinic in one of the following ways:

Johnson & Johnson vaccine available May 4-6

If you still need a COVID-19 vaccine, Missouri State University is making it easy for you to get one.

Clinics administering the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine will take place May 4-6 at these locations on campus:

May 4

  • 9-11 a.m., Temple Hall pit on the first floor
  • 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Glass Hall atrium on the first floor
  • 2-4 p.m., Strong Hall atrium on the first floor

May 5

  • 9-11 a.m., Forsythe Athletics Center hall on the first floor
  • 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Craig Hall atrium on the first floor
  • 2-4 p.m., Meyer Library lobby

May 6

  • 9-11 a.m., Plaster Student Union near Bear Necessities
  • 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Plaster Student Union near Bear Necessities
  • 2-4 p.m., Plaster Student Union near Bear Necessities

The clinics are open to all students, staff and faculty. Appointments are not required and the vaccine is free. Simply show up with an ID.

If your permanent address is not in Missouri, provide your local address when you check in for your shot.
