SEES names new director

On July 1, 2025, Dr. Gary Michelfelder will become the new director of the School of Earth, Environment and Sustainability. He takes over from current director Dr. Toby Dogwiler, who will return to a faculty position. Dogwiler plans to turn his focus back to teaching and research endeavors. Congratulations, Dr. Michelfelder!

Geology conference brings together students, faculty, alumni

Indianapolis, Indiana, was full of aspiring and current geologists at the Geological Society of America (GSA) conference Nov. 4-7. Almost 6,000 students, faculty and researchers attended.
