SMCOG wins NADO award for safety project

The Southwest Missouri Council of Governments (SMCOG) recently won an award. The National Association of Development Organizations (NADO) gave SMCOG a 2019 Excellence in Regional Transportation Award. In 2018, they won the Innovation Award. Connecting through geography

Several students attended the American Association of Geographers Conference April 3-7 in Washington, D.C. The conference was full of fun, winning awards and visiting alumni. Dr. Melida Gutierrez, Dr. Richard Biagioni and graduate Miles Pearson conducted a study to determine the amount of bioavailable metals found in streams nearby Aurora, Missouri.
