The 2017-2018 Public Affairs Theme is “Sustainability in Practices: Consensus and Consequences.” As the description of this theme explains:
When one considers the notion of sustainability, the first thoughts that come to mind are often focused on the natural world. Sustainability is a word that immediately conjures images of the seas, mountains, and wildlife. Yet, sustainability in practice is much broader. With its foundation firmly in the natural sciences, sustainability also encompasses societal components that reach every corner of human behavior: government, business, education, the arts, medicine and human services.
It is difficult to find the path forward if we are uncertain as to where we currently stand. To this end, MSU Staff Senate encourages all staff and faculty members to participate in the 2017 Sustainability Culture Assessment currently being conducted to gain a better understanding of what a MSU employees do and how they think about sustainability. It takes less than 10 minutes to complete and the results of this questionnaire can help shape future of MSU programs.
