United Way of the Ozarks: June 23 Day of Caring

Student, faculty, and staff action research group to host racial allyship conference in March during Women’s History Month

Unlikely Allies Conference 2022. Lecture and book signing. Join us for this provocative conversation about allyship on campus with Dr. Karen L. Dace! Dace is Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. She is also an associate professor in Communication Studies in the College of Liberal Arts and has taught courses in and written about intercultural communication, race relations, the construction of gender, and the empowerment of women of Color. Dance holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Liberal Arts and Mass Communication, respectively, from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Ph.D. in communication studies from the University of Iowa. In 2012, she published an edited book, Women of Color and White Women in Conversation (Routledge), which brought together ten women of Color and ten white women to discuss the challenges of working across race in university settings

Page One. Article one, CookieGram Fundraiser. Staff and Faculty can order three types of baked goods to be delivered to other MSU employees or students. A 12-inch cookie that you can customize with flower color for a special occasion or holiday. It is $16, and $5 of the price will be donated to the scholarship. 4 oz sugar cookie that you can put a message on. Clamshell container or box available! It is $5, and $2 of the price will be donated to the scholarship. You can pick a large cupcake from white cake with white icing, chocolate cake with chocolate icing, lemon cake with lemon icing, or red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. It will be delivered in an individual box. It is $5, and $1.50 will be donated to the scholarship. Credit card payment required when ordering.
