  • Staff Senate meeting in Glass 486 Thursday, August 1st 11 AM – 1 PM – All staff are welcome to attend! Add the event to your calendar.
    • Guest speakers:
      • Alex Johnson (Director of Community-Engaged Learning) will speak about Bear Pantry.
      • Laura Derrick (Project Manager-Architect) will share the latest on the Blunt Hall construction.
    • Lunch provided: hamburgers and hotdogs with sides and dessert
  • Committee meetings
    • Staff Activities committee meeting in Carrington 312 Wednesday, August 21st 1:30 -2:30 PM – Help plan engaging activities for staff. All staff are welcome.

Activities:

  • Springfield Cardinals game Friday July 26th 7:05 PM (see July 10th blog post)
    • Ticket pickup
      • Thursday July 25 in Carrington Hall Second Floor Atrium 2-5 PM
      • Friday July 26th 2-5 PM in O’Reilly 203
  • First MSU home football game September 14th 6 PM. Join Staff Senate for the pre-game tailgate. Food and drinks provided. More information coming soon.
  • Breast Cancer Luncheon October 25th 11 AM- 1 PM – More information coming soon.

Volunteer opportunities:

  • Bear Crew Thursday, August 15th- Saturday, August 17th – Shift times vary.
  • House Calls Wednesday, August 28th 5:15 PM-8 PM
  • Ozark Food Harvest food packing. Join staff members to help fight hunger in the Ozarks. More information coming soon.

Professional development opportunities:

  • Master Advisor Workshop in PSU 315 August 7th 1-5 PM and August 8th 8 AM-4:30 PM
  • Form I-9/W-4/Direct Deposit Training in Carrington 110 Wednesday, August 14th 10:30 AM-12 PM. Register at my.MissouriState.edu on LMS.
  • Applicant Tracking System – Hiring Approvers Training in Carrington 110 Wednesday, August 21st 10 AM-12 PM. Register at my.MissouriState.edu on LMS.
  • Microsoft Excel Level 1 – Lead Yourself Training in Glass 331 Friday, September 6th 9 AM-11 AM. Register at my.MissouriState.edu on LMS.
