Staff are encouraged to attend the Public Affairs Conference, September 24-26, next week Tuesday-Thursday. The conference theme is “Between the One and the Many: Considering Community and Individualism.” It explores the ways Americans engage the one and the many, as we consider the role of community and individualism in American life. The conference will be a mix of live virtual panel sessions and in person plenary presentations. The keynote address featuring actress Brooke Shields, as well as all other events, are free and open to everyone.  No registration is required.  Staff may track their attendance at the conference through My Learning Connection (My.MissouriState.edu > Learning and Development HR card > My Learning Connection). President Williams noted in the Inside Missouri State on August 27, as in previous years, employees may use up to two hours of their work time, in coordination with their supervisors, to attend the conference. Supervisors are encouraged to facilitate attendance by individuals in their offices or divisions.
