Missouri State University’s 23rd annual Public Affairs Conference is next week, Sept. 29-Oct. 1, and Staff Senate encourages you to take part.
This year’s theme is “The We Factor: Building Connections That Matter.” The conference will bring together speakers from around the world to talk about how connection, collaboration and leadership shape our workplaces and communities. Topics span business, education, health, agriculture, science and the arts – something for every area of campus.
President Richard B. Williams wrote about the conference in his Sept. 15 column and encouraged faculty, staff and students to take advantage of the opportunity. He noted employees may use up to two hours of work time, with supervisor approval, to attend conference sessions. He also asked supervisors to work with their teams so employees can participate.
If you would like to attend, talk with your supervisor soon about which sessions fit your schedule and how your team can plan around them.
