2. Women’s HERstoy Month – Student Activities Council and Student Government Association present a lecture from Tarana Burke. Burke is the founder of the Me Too (#MeToo) movement and an advocate for survivors of sexual violence. Burke speak on her life experience and the Me Too movement. The event is March 10 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts. Open to the public, current students, faculty and staff. No ticket needed.
3. “Paws” Civility Initiative – March will be an exciting month for the Office of Student Conduct with the start of the inaugural Paws Initiative. The goal of the initiative is to motivate the campus to pause, and take the time to learn about how we can all increase civility. 4. Register for the Impact Summit – Registration for the Impact Summit: College Student Mental Health Conference has opened. Early bird registration at $89 per person will end on March 30th. After March 30th, the fee will be $109. Graduate and undergraduate students fee is $49 per person. You can use your non-credit fee waiver to attend the Impact Summit. 5. Spotlight on Sigma Lambda Gamma and Kristeena LaRoue – Sigma Lambda Gamma (SLG) is a national multicultural sorority that is committed to empowering womxn and influencing the global community. The organization was founded on April 9th, 1990 at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa by our five founding mothers. We were founded as a sorority for Latina women, but grew into our current multicultural sorority status.
