- Assistant Vice President-Student Affairs/Dean of Students Interviews – The Division of Student Affairs is thrilled to announce five candidates who will be interviewing for the Assistant Vice President Student Affairs/Dean of Students position. - Nominate a student for the Citizen Scholar Award – The Citizen Scholar Award was initiated in 2007 as a special Board of Governors program to recognize outstanding citizen scholars at Missouri State University. Eighty-three (83) students since 2007 have been recognized for their stellar achievements with academics, community engagement and leadership. Citizen Scholar nominations may be made by Missouri State University faculty and staff members each fall. The deadline to nominate a student is Thursday, September 16th. - Mental Health Clinician Zoom Presentation – The Counseling Center is happy to announce one candidate that will be interviewing for our Mental Health Clinician – Diversity Initiatives position on Tuesday, September 14th. The candidate will give a 20 minute presentation on a topic related to serving diverse college student mental health needs, and then a questions/answers session will follow. Please share this information with the students you work with. SOAR leaders lead groups of new first-year students and their family members and educate them about campus resources and student life issues to help them succeed at Missouri State University. SOAR leaders’ work is essential to the Missouri State community. They help students feel more comfortable on campus, more confident about their ability to succeed, more connected to others, and more curious about possible opportunities.
