1. Giving Day 2024 – Giving Day starts at 10am on Tuesday, March 5th through Wednesday, March 6th at 10pm. Missouri State’s Giving Day allows alumni, staff, students and friends to come together and make a collective difference for our university. https://givingday.missouristate.edu/amb/ursaexperience
2. Paws to the Polls Spring Voting Fair – Paws to the Polls is excited to host a Spring Voting Fair to highlight community and civic engagement in advance of the upcoming April 2nd municipal election. It will be held on Tuesday, March 5th, from 12 noon – 4 pm in the Plaster Student Union Atrium, 2nd floor. The Greene County Clerk will be there once again to register voters and demonstrate their voting machines. We will be answering questions and raising awareness about the importance of voting in all elections. Other elected officials will be in attendance also. The Office of Public Affairs Support and the Student Activities Council are partnering with Paws to the Polls. Food, games, prizes, a tie-dye table, and a photo booth featuring photo ops with “The Bill” from Schoolhouse Rock will all help to create a positive, festive atmosphere surrounding civic engagement. 3. Spring Chocolate Lovers Event – Get excited for the Spring Chocolate Lovers Event Friday, March 8th, in PSU Ballroom from 11-1. This is the Friday before Spring break begins. What a great way to kick it off! Stay tuned for more details!
4. Department Spotlight – The Bookstore – Learn all about the Bookstore and how they fit in the Division of Student Affairs. Did you know they employ approximately 90 student employees? Read more here.
5. Inclusion Awareness Team Spotlight: All Things Black SGF All Things Black SGF Know about Black Owned resources available in Springfield, MO. Resources include a listing of Black Owned Barbershops, Hair Salons, Beauty Supplies Stores, Restaurants, Coffee Shops, Food Trucks, Real Estate Agents, Consultants, Daycares, Organization, Non Profits, and more.
6. New Student Affairs Staff On-Boarding – We will be holding our on-boarding for new Student Affairs Staff on March 6th, 3-4:30pm. All new staff members will receive an invitation. This event is a great way to get to know others new to the Division, visit with administrators and learn about the great work of the Division. Stay tuned for more information. 7. Camp Claw Counselors – Share with your students! Foster Rec is gearing up for another summer of Camp Claw, and they are hiring summer staff. The student can apply using the QR code on this flier or contact Caroline Wieters at cwieters@missouristate.edu with questions. The deadline to apply is March 9th.
8. Mental Health Clinician-Victim Services and Advocacy Specialist Interviews – The search committee is happy to announce we have scheduled two candidates to come to campus next week for interviews for the position of Mental Health Clinician-Victim Services and Advocacy Specialist in the Counseling Center. Included are times for each presentation below and attached resumes for both candidates to this email. We hope that you can join us to provide feedback about these two candidates as we work to fill this position.

9. Bookstore Grad Fair – The Grad Fair at the Bookstore takes place this week, March 6th-March 7th, 9am-5pm in the Bookstore. Encourage your students to stop by and get everything they need for graduation!
