1. Missouri State Birthday Party – Join the Alumni Association for the Missouri State Birthday Party on Wednesday, March 20th, PSU Atrium, 11am-3pm. There will be a D.J., Balloon Animals, Food and more. There will be carnival games, a living history of President Smart’s legacy and his favorite food. There will be a special program and tribute to President Smart from 12-12:30pm in the PSU Food Court. Contact Arianna Gardner at ariannagardner@missouristate.edu.
2. April Lunch and Learn – Join us for our next Lunch and Learn on April 17th, 12-1pm, PSU 317. The topic is Cultural Mindfulness presented by Dr. Rabekah Stewart, Assistant Vice President-Student Affairs. RSVP to PeggyJones@missouristate.edu.
3. Celebrate Janet Wicks Retirement with the Bookstore – Mark your calendar to join us in celebrating the retirement of Janet Wicks, Department Charge and Supply Coordinator at the Bookstore! Janet has been at the university for 44 years, and all that time was dedicated to working in the bookstore. We plan to celebrate her many years of service on Tuesday, March 19 from 2 – 4 pm in the PSU Ballroom East. We hope you can join us to share kind words and well wishes to Janet. 4. Local Election Candidate Forum – Paws to the Polls voter education initiative brings you their second annual Local Election Candidate Forum on March 27th, 3:30-5pm, Plaster Student Union 313. This event helps to inform voters about the issues dealt with by the Springfield Public Schools School Board and allows them to get to know the candidates. Seven candidates are on the ballot and voters will choose three of them to serve on the school board.

Join EAB’s Voice Sessions for Staff Career Well-being – Your Input Matters! – From Dr. Siscoe – After several years of change in our industry and institution, we want to pause to focus on whether and how you are flourishing in your career. I’m excited to introduce a valuable resource called EAB’s Voice Sessions (EVS), provided by our strategic partner for institutional success, EAB. This tool will help us understand your perspective and prioritize solutions to benefit our student affairs team. Registration and Logistics:
EVS is an anonymous, interactive, 75-minute session facilitated by EAB’s expert that combines focus group and survey methodologies. All responses are completely anonymous, and EAB will only report aggregate results. EAB cannot identify participants, nor disclose individual responses.To register for EVS, use this link. Please be aware that the session will be conducted in English, with closed captioning provided.

Guidelines for participation:
- Please follow the log-in instructions provided in your registration confirmation email. You can save the event details to your calendar during the registration process.
- On the day of the session, simply click on the link provided in your registration confirmation email or calendar invite.
- Make sure to have your laptop ready for the session. You will need functioning speakers or headphones to listen to the facilitator, but you will not need a microphone.
- Please use either Chrome or Safari web browsers during EVS.
- If you do not have access to a computer workstation, your unit will make space available in a department computer lab.
- All supervisors are supportive of your participation in this EVS session… however, should you have any difficulty participating, please reach out to your department Director for assistance.
Confidentiality:
Confidentiality is of utmost importance to us and to our partner, EAB, who is fully committed to protecting the confidentiality of all EVS participants. To that end, EAB reserves the right to edit or withhold any qualitative or quantitative data from the sessions that may compromise participant confidentiality, in accordance with applicable law.EAB will provide me with an anonymized report that shares key themes that emerged from these conversations in about 6 weeks. After that, we will share those key themes with you along with the action steps we plan to take to enhance staff career well-being at Missouri State University.
