The most interesting part of yesterday’s trip is Thai cooking class. It was very nice for the person to start this school and helped people who intersted in Thai cooking have aceess to professional teaching. We had been divided into two different groups and went to a local food market to buy all different ingredients. It was my first time to see so many different sorts of chiles, basils, gingers and lemons. They all have different uses in Thai dishes.
It is Thai people’s custom to sit on the ground to do cooking. So during our three and half hours cooking class, we all sit on the ground.
The food we made include Tom Yam soup, a famous Thai dish. I could not believe I was able to make it with aid of our chef. Anyway, it tasted great and I think I will able to make it if I can find all the ingredients at home:) I really appreciate such great experience!
