As the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end. And so it will…today. We conclude our program in Phuket at the Deevana Resort today, and everybody is packed ready to leave this lovely island. In fact, two of our participants left last night due to their departure flight schedules.
We have been very lucky (we’ll chalk it up as luck rather than global warming) with the weather overall as it rarely rained on our entire trip. We have been enjoying the sunshine for the last three days. But as if the island knew we are leaving, so it rained real hard all night last night. The locals called it sad tears.
This is my second faculty-lead program. In my opinion, each program brought adventurous individuals together to experience cultures and lifetime friendship. A wise professor wrote me an email after she has been following our blog. She told me that this is a unique opportunity for these participants because it doesn’t matter how many times they come back (if ever) to Vietnam or Thailand, they will never have the same experience.
Safe travel, everyone!
