Good afternoon, Kuala Lumpur!
My flight was delayed in Phuket, and Chance and I just now checked into our hotel. We are on our own now, so I splurged a little by booking my own room at the Park Royal Hotel. We are going to freshen up a bit (or take a nap more like it), and will go visit the Petronas Twin Towers tonight.
Kuala Lumpur is one hour ahead of Bangkok. It’s a sterile city with lots of Chinese influence. Cantonese is the second most spoken language here. I thought of Xu since he speaks Canonese, then my thoughts diverted to Laurel. I am wondering if she made it to Wuhan okay since she left last night.
Heck, I thought of many people. I am wondering if Morgan, Kaylyn, Blythe and Todd are okay in Bangkok. I am sure they are since the girls are well traveled and they will help the novice. Hopefully, Kaylyn will find some goodies at the Jim Thompson store.
I am also wondering if Xiao checked in okay, and that his flight to Hangzhou is uneventful. Of course, Musa’s flight is not leaving until later tonight. I hope he will have a good journey as well.
After spending two weeks with the participants, I can’t help but miss them terribly.
