Today is our final day in Hue. We spent the day touring the tombs of two emperors: Khai Dinh and Tu Duc. Khai Dinh was highly influenced by the French. I thought the decor to his tomb was intricate and gorgeous. The walls of his tomb were covered with broken colored vase material and glass that were formed in flowers, vines, and other decor. The walls had representations of all four seasons. Tu Duc had a more traditional Vietnamese tomb that incorporated lots of grey coloring. I packed early and went to bed because of the early morning flight to Nha Trang. Can’t wait to see those gorgeous beaches! 😀
