This morning we woke up early and left for a relaxing day at an island. The beach was beautiful. Once my feet hit the sand, I realized how hot it was and ran into the water. The girls taught me how to float on my back by myself. I’m really proud that I can now do that. I’m working on my swimming abilities. Later, we watched some dance performances, looked at traditional Vietnamese instruments and weaving, and made a sand castle (which looked more like a volcano with a working water moat). We even made the four significant creatures of Vietnam out of sand: the turtle (longevity), the phoenix (prosperity), the dragon (power), and the unicorn (happiness) for our castle. We then left the island for a long bus ride to Mui Ne.
