Today we visited a Caodaism temple in Cai Lay. I have heard of Caodaism before but never got to know in details about their beliefs. I was amazed by how they chose left eye specifically to be the icon of worship. From their explanation, it was because left eye is connected to our heart so it is powerful, and the left side usually stands for men side so it symbolizes strength. The most interesting of Caodaism how most of other religions’ Gods were worshipped at the same place. Caodaism worshippers have equal respect for all religions which really shows by the way they welcome and treat visitors. They invited us to lunch and to eat a variety of local tropical fruits after giving us a tour around. My favorite part of this visit was how friendly and opened the people there were to show people from other religions about theirs in an informative way without making them feel indifferent.
