Made with drip coffee and condensed milk, this is my go to drink in Vietnam. It is a great drink that symbolizes the relaxed side of the Vietnamese culture. Dating back to when the French colonized Vietnam, it has a long history as well. Cafe sua da translates to “ice milk coffee” but if you aren’t into the condensed milk part, order the cafe da “ice coffee.” Although the size of it may look small at first, it packs quite a punch so a little will go a long way. Caution: be careful when drinking something with ice in Vietnam, especially if you are drinking from a street vendor.

I really like coffee and can’t wait to try this signature Vietnamese beverage. I typically prefer my coffee drinks plain black, but I will definitely try the signature version. Also, an iced coffee on a hot, humid day might just be the refresher I need to get through the jet lag and days packed with excursions. Good reminder of the potential threat of less than adequate ice with street vendors! I will definitely need to be reminded when we get there also.
Lol I think you’ll enjoy Vn coffee then. Yes the ice is potentially dangerous, but let’s see how adventurous you are when you get there. Maybe we can have some iced drinks in a hole in the wall place together ^^
