Wow! What a day, what a day! Today started out early, 7:45 a.m. Today was all Brandon and I. After breakfast we went to the war remnants museum which covers the Vietnam War or the American War as they called it here. Before we made it there we came across two locals who provided Rickshaw taxi rides to tourists. They gave us a ride in the museum and to my surprise waiting around for us to finish up. This turned out to be a theme for the day. These two gentlemen drove us all around Saigon, we went to the zoo, went to multiple temples, and a fantastic Pho restaurant we would have never found if it weren’t for them. It was a real experience to be in an exposed bike as we cross roads and highways in the organized chaos that is Saigon. In our travels it poured down rain, and flooded the streets, it actually reminded me a little bit of Springfield. I really got to experience a real Saigon, in a way that I would have missed out on if we’d stayed with the group. Today really meant a lot to me, spending it with Brandon and exploring the city of Saigon. Today will be a memory that I’ll never forget, and the way those gentleman treated us all day with her hospitality was so heartwarming. I experience the real Saigon, and not the Saigon that they talk about on trip advisor. Until next time.
