- In a previous blog of mine, before leaving for Vietnam, I blogged about the great reviews the war museum in Saigon had received. Today a group of us took the opportunity to visit the museum and take in a strictly Vietnamese perspective of the war.
Having learnt only a little about the Vietnam war I was interested to find out the ins and outs of what was a very historic moment in history. Whether or not the museum portaid information in a slightly bias matter can be debated… And I assure you it was debated between our group. However, the blood shed, horror and disaster experienced by all involved is hard to fathom. The museum definitely gave a graphic portrayal of some of the horrors experienced during the war and I cannot get over the damage that was caused by Agent Orange onto innocent citizens.
If anything I think the museum proved to me that having a good knowledge of the world’s history can help massively in finding better solutions in the future.
