So as a student back in England, my art professor tried to teach us as many art techniques from around the world. One of said techniques was batik. How crazy is it to think that three years after my last art work, I find mys of at the home of batik today. I know the my art professor would have been fascinated, just as I was, to watch the batik craftsmen and women make the most intracet designs imaginable. Having struggled for hours at a time as a student just to design one small flower, I also found myself rather envious watching the artists craft whole designs in a matter of one hour or so.
Amazingly however, the batik making probably wasn’t the most brilliant thing I saw today. The mount batur crater was one hell of a sight to see with a new volcano standing proudly in the crater.
