Day 9- the second longest bus ride.
So far logistics in Bali seems to be s nightmare. The traffic backs up and everything takes forever. Our day was planned around hiking a volcano, however, after several setbacks, we ate lunch with a view of the volcano. From there we went to a temple affixed to the side of a cliff overlooking the ocean. The bus rides have been fun and tense at the same time. It’s always impossible to please everyone. But we have had music and some comic relief. After lunch we stopped at a terraced rice patty that has been converted into a tourist hippie consumer street with all the same tshirts Bali has to offer everywhere. We were all stuffed from lunch and then arrived at dinner. However, the ribs were absolutely brilliant. While not as ethnic as crispy duck, the bar b q ribs brought me back to Kansas City. Food, the last great adventure in Bali.
