Our first stop today, after an hours drive or so, was Monkey-Cliff-Temple (properly known as Uluwatu)
Again I was asking myself what it must have been like to be in that exact same place 500 years ago when it was built. I had to marvel at the intricate designs of the temples and holy grounds. However, I think I have figured that nothing that man may create is going to rival the natural beauty of planet earth. The cliff side and vibrant blue sea underneath the temple were a prime example of this, and the temples were literally the cherry on the cake.
A short bus journey found us at one of Bali’s beautiful beaches. Soft sand. Beautiful blue ocean. Great waves. Plenty of sunshine… Marvelous. After swimming through the waves for at least half an hour I went to explore down the beach a little bit. It wasn’t too long until I found a quiet area and later down to rest in the sun for a little while. It wasn’t long though until I was back in the ocean flowing with the waves and admiring all the surfers.
