Today was a free and exploring day in Singapore.
I got up a little bit late so I couldn’t go with the group to go for a morning walk. However it was quite easy and cheap to get a taxi to catch them. I realized there were Chinese people everywhere and most people speak Chinese. I got Chinese breakfast using Chinese and it worked pretty well to get me the right food. After breakfast and walking around, we took a taxi to the Ferris wheel, Singapore Flyer. It costs about 27 US dollars to go up there. When we were lineing up to get on, there were some empty rooms swing by, which have themes like a date or a wedding setting. Finally when we got to the top, the view was amazing because we can see the center of this busy city. Last night was the night view, while today was the grant view with brightness. I can see everything including the Garden by the Bay.
After lunch at little India, we decided to go to Garden by the Bay. We had five people in total, but a text can only take four people. We had to spit up. Then we made a very wrong decision. We let the only two people with no internet access take a taxi and the others take the other one. We had no way to contact those two for about an hour. It wasn’t a problem until we realized we ended up arriving at two different gardens. When we finally get to the right one it was late and we were exhausted. I didn’t get to see the garden inside but I’ve seen enough from the outside.
We are leaving Singapore in the evening. I accedentaly left my backpack, which had my passport and wallet, on one of the benches while we were waiting for the skytrain. I was horrified because I didn’t want to left alone in a different country. Luckily, there was a kind man pick up my backpack and returned it to the information center. I was so grateful for what he did that I almost cry out.
The days of traveling are good when you meet kind and nice people.
