I spent my third day at the biological parents’ house one more time. It was my grandmother’s death anniversaries so we had a family reunion. It turned out to me more formal than I expected. We had over 80 relatives and family friends that came over and my family also had someone outside catered the food and organized the event. This is one of the celebration that is quite unique to Vietnamese tradition. Death anniversaries are celebrated every years and usually last for 3 generations. My parents still organize it for my great-grandmother every year.
I had a good time seeing many relatives that I have not got to see in a while. It was like a little reunion and farewell party for me as well. I enjoyed seeing all of them and just getting together on unexpected occasions like this.
