I’ve done some research about what kind of small gifts we can bring to give to some of the people we meet. A few of the things I found were homemade items like scarves and blankets, and also homemade syrup or fresh honey from a local bee farmer. I asked around with some friends and the top answers were American candy or gum, sports team hats/shirts, mix tape/CD of favorite songs, American money, pictures of family, etc. I really like the mix tape idea. This is fairly cheap and easy enough to pack into a suitcase because of the size. And it’s something that can be shared with more than one person and last a life time for someone.
