The morning started early awaking in our small ship to enjoy a pastry breakfast. After, we boarded a smaller boat to go to one of the famous caves around Ha Long Bay. The cave was fantastic and provided awesome views of the Bay area. We returned about 1.5 hours later to eat Brunch and relax on the cruise ship while going back to port. We unloaded and drove about ten minutes to a local pearl farm. While there, they demonstrated how pearls were implanted and farmed. We toured the sales portion of the shop, and then went on our way to take our three hour bus journey back to Hanoi. After arriving in Hanoi, we checked back into our hotel. We explored the area a bit. We got Bahn Mi, a traditional dish of French bread served with meat and vegetables. The traffic in Hanoi is just as crazy as in Saigon. We relaxed in the rooms and then went to get some tea from one of Dr. Pham’s local friends. It was very good, and the shop, Lu’s Tea, was nice. In preparation for tomorrow, we retired to our rooms to rest.
