While abroad it is important to know the proper attire and rules when visiting attractions. Some of the places we will be visiting are temples and sacred places for worship, which will require shoulder and knees to be covered before entering. I purchased and Sarong on Amazon that can easily be packed in a backpack for the day to assure I’m properly dressed at all temples. A Sarong is a lightweight wrap which will be great to wear in the hot heat in Vietnam and Laos. When entering temples shoes are also required to be removed and left in an allocated spot. I read an article that talked about tourist shoes being stolen from the shoe piles outside of the temples. The article suggests to wear low priced shoes and not name brands to avoid getting your shoes stolen. To prepare for this I bought a cheap pair of flip flops to bring as an extra pair of shoes that I can wear to the temples.
